That's more a matter of money. The i5-6600K performs very well considering it's $100 cheaper, but if you can afford the 6700K without sacrificing something else, get the 6700K. Especially if you want to use it for 5–6 years. I just wanted to make sure you had the right processor chosen, that it wasn't a mistake or something.

Hello everyone.

Can all you nice people help me out with choosing a system for gaming

I have put togheter this 2 system and not sure witch one to choose and witch one will give me better gameplay for longer time

Im not looking for content creation or editing or anything, just pure ultra settings stable 60-80fps gaming.

Any suggestions or changes are much appreciated.

Thank you in advance and hope to hear more and more help.

At this budget, your choice is between the i7-5820K and i7-6700K. Outside of content creation, the 6700K is usually about as fast as the 5820K and often a little faster when overclocked.

The i5-6600K is a good alternative for gaming if you want to save a bunch of money. But if you can afford an i7 without having to drop something else, get an i7.

AMD's lineup right now barely even competes with an i5-6600K in the most favorable of situations. AMD has absolutely nothing for you if you're looking at CPUs in the i7 range.

If you want to go AMD, you really should wait and see what their new Zen architecture is like. But rumor is Zen's full retail availability could be well into 2017.

The i7-6700K and i7-5820K usually perform within a few percent of each other in games, so I don't think the decision between the two will have a major effect on your ability to game for the next several years. The 6700K can actually be a bit (like a couple of frames) faster in some games since it runs at higher clock speeds. I can't really guess how well they'll play games in 6 years, but these are basically the two best gaming CPUs available today. They will hold up as long or longer than anything else.

I would personally put a better power supply into a system with an i7 and a GTX 1080 than a Corsair CX600M. It's kinda mediocre, there's really no reason not to use something from Tier 1 of this list, such as an EVGA G2 or Seasonic unit. I'd go with 600–650 Watts in either build. The 850 Watt PSU in the second build is unnecessarily powerful.

Also, the first build list includes an i5-6600K rather than an i7-6700K.

Just get the i7-6700k. It blows any processor out of the water for gaming performance.
