So the GOTY (Game of the Year) edition of The Witcher 3 has been announced

 Its gonna release August 30th

This is exactly what I was waiting for, I usually wait until all (or the majority of) the DLC is released before I play/buy a game, and when the GOTY edition will come out I will buy it.
What do you guys think? Do you already have The Witcher 3? Would you buy the GOTY even if you already have the game?
And for those who don't have the Witcher 3 yet, are you going to buy the GOTY when it comes out?

hello!

is it me you're looking for?

Mobo: X99 Deluxe

Cooler: Dark Rock Pro 3

RAM: 32GB DDR4
GPU: GTX 1080

Storage: 1TB 850 Evo, 1TB HDD, bunch of external hard drives
PSU: EVGA G2 750w

Peripherals: Logitech G502, Ducky One 711

Audio: Xonar U7, O2 amplifier (RIP), HD6XX

Monitors: 4k 24" Dell monitor, 1080p 24" Asus monitor

Laptop:

-Overkill Dell XPS

Fully maxed out early 2017 Dell XPS 15, GTX 1050 4GB, 7700HQ, 1TB nvme SSD, 32GB RAM, 4k display. 97Whr battery :x
Dell was having a $600 off sale for the fully specced out model, so I decided to get it :P

-Crapbook

Fully specced out early 2013 Macbook "pro" with gt 650m and constant 105c temperature on the CPU (GPU is 80-90C) when doing anything intensive...

A 2013 laptop with a regular sized battery still has better battery life than a 2017 laptop with a massive battery! I think this is a testament to apple's ability at making laptops, or maybe how little CPU technology has improved even 4+ years later (at least, until the recent introduction of 15W 4 core CPUs). Anyway, I'm never going to get a 35W CPU laptop again unless battery technology becomes ~5x better than as it is in 2018.

Apple knows how to make proper consumer-grade laptops (they don't know how to make pro laptops though). I guess this mostly software power efficiency related, but getting a mac makes perfect sense if you want a portable/powerful laptop that can do anything you want it to with great battery life.

Maybe I'll buy it sometime after I upgrade my PC.. If it's on sale. But cool regardless.

I already own the game, the two expansion packs, and the free DLCs on Steam. CD Projekt Red doesn't seem the type of studio that will force you to buy the Game of the Year edition for a few small add-ons, and if they do, I'll probably just have to live without them.

I have the base game only. I traded an extra copy of Wasteland 2 that I had from supporting the Kickstarter for it, for a preorder of Witcher 3, which was a pretty sweet trade.

I hope that Steam offer a discount upgrade to the GotY edition, just like they do for Skyrim Legendary Edition for people who don't own all of its DLC.

i dont think there'll be anything extra. the GOTY release will most likely be the latest patched game, with all the DLC pre-loaded on it, including the 16 free dlc plus the 2 expansions. hey, they might even include the extra content you get if you buy it from GOG (and i believe steam too), like wallpapers and the OST

With the introduction of NVidia's DSR and the incredible wealth of graphical enhancement mods for the game, I do believe the best wallpapers will all be community-made. As for the soundtrack- is it really included in the Steam release?

Sorry, what's in it?  the video doesn't say much of anything as to whether or not there are any differences.  It does however point out a gwent beta.

it'll most likely have all the free 16 dlc that came out every so weeks shortly after the game out, as well as the 2 expansions Hearts of Stone and blood and wine, in addition to having the latest patches.

I would assume it's similar to the enhanced editions of previous witcher games, all the DLC in a single package, with some small improvements
