DVI-D Dual and Single Link

Hadowken

Is there any difference if I use a DVI-D Dual Link cable for my monitor? I've been using single link for as long as I remember.

Monitor is only 1920 x 1080, 21.5"

I know dual link is only for bigger monitors, but will it make a difference with quality for my monitor?

Dual link has a bigger bandwith.

It can transfer up to 2560x1440@60hz

I think single link can transfer up to 1920x1200@60hz, but i'm not quite sure.

But it will be cleary enough for your needs :)

Yeah, I just want to ask because I want to replace my DVI cable. It's fairly old and it's not looking too good aesthetically. Was just checking if there are any real benefits to switching to dual link.
