I've been installing my ram wrong all along!!

So I've been used to dual channel before which has been fine but with 4x 4gb sticks I got 2x 8 ddr4 dims so i could upgrade in the future. Well I've only just noticed I've been doing it wrong haha see picks..

My luck I did damage -_-

It's not really the wrong place, as the RAM still works fine.

The positioning of the RAM for dual channel can change from board to board.

It does tell you how. Page 28.

While MSI manuals are not perfect, they do have the proper information for ram channeling. I've owned pretty much every possible brand of motherboard, and MSI is far from the worst. ASrock (I absolutely love their boards) probably has the most mediocre manuals I have seen. English is bad, and seldom ever goes into details about specific timings/voltages.

EDIT: I should point out, that depending on your region/language, the page number will be different. It might also be on Page 14 as well. Simply look for the "DIMM SLOTS" header in the overview section.

I hate when they do this:

"VCCIO: VCCIO Voltage". Thanks ASRock, I thought the VCCIO Voltage was something else entirely. Glad you cleared that up for me. They do this for every other timing/voltage too.
