VirtualBox install crashes windows (10)

As said above, when I'm installing VirtualBox (the latest version) windows crashes and reboots my PC. I download BlueScreenView and it shows that it has something to do with "hal.dll" and "ntoskrnl.exe". Any help on this matter would be appreciated!

Double check that your processor supports it and if it does check in your BIOS ( might come under "virtualization/ VT-X" ).

Does it need to be enabled or disabled? (Just so I don't have to go into the BIOS twice)

I have Intel Virtualisation Tech enabled already. Is that and VT-X the same thing?

I've found that it's enabled but windows still crashes when I try to install VirtualBox :/. Is there anything else that I can do?

try other Visualization software like VMware player

if that crashes your system might not support it or the system is overclocked, some software doesn't play nicely with overclocked systems

I tried disabling my OC but it still did exactly the same. Should I turn off turbo-boost also, just as a test? Also, I've tried VMware player with exactly the same result. 

SOLVED: Disabling intel turbo boost worked
