Overwatch Recommended Settings

KingSpycrab

So I recently upgraded the RAM in my laptop from 6GB to 14GB, due to the constant transfer of data from RAM to my page file causing a lot of lag in various games(for example, Overwatch loved to take forever to load in character models, maps, etc. even after running the game for hours). There was an obvious change for the better after upgrading, with game data loading fast and staying. I let NVIDIA GeForce Experience decide what settings I should use after upgrading, even though NGE has NEVER given me good settings, and while they work for the first hour of gameplay, the performance drops due to possible thermal throttling or just too much work on my laptop. Here are my specs; I'd like to know what people with similar specs are using for settings and what everyone recommends for smooth gameplay:

Toshiba Qosmio X70-A(late 2013)

Microsoft Windows 10 Home

Intel i5-4200M(2.5GHz)

NVIDIA GTX 770M

14GB DDR3 RAM @ 1600MHz

Let me know if you need anything else, thanks!

Not sure how smooth you can get with a 770M.

I know this isn't as helpful as you'd like, but you should try manually turning overwatch settings down until it's reached a stage where it's stable.

I edit my posts a lot.

I play on low on my much beefier setup than yours because I hate dropping below 100 fps. The game still looks good on low. Use whatever settings gets you a consistent 60 fps.

I would set everything to medium at first and lower settings until you get the framerate that you desire. You can probably get 60+ fps playing with mostly medium settings though I would think. The game still looks good even at low honestly so it's not too annoying to lower some settings anyway IMO
