I took apart my pc to fix my fans they are spinning, but there is no video output when I turn on my pc. I've tried different cables and monitors and I have tried both the motherboard and the GPU.  There is light in the pc and the GPU as well.  I have no idea what the problem is.

Please help.

Have you double and triple checked all cables? Made sure the 24pin is connected, made sure the front connectors are still in, etc.

First of all, you wanted to fix you're fan because they were spinning? Isn't that what they're supposed to do?

But I guess what you mean is that when you turn the pc on the fans spin.

I would check that all the Power Supply cables a plugged in. Also that the RAM is properly inserted. I had it happen once when I thought the ram was in right and it wasn't.

And does the monitor light turn on at any point when you turn it on?

I have checked the cables and I'm pretty sure they are all plugged correctly, I tried moving the ram to another slot and that didn't work either. The 24 pin is in the motherboard, but when I look at it it looks as if it's just a tad out but when I try to press it down it won't go any further. And yes I ment that the fans weren't spinning.

Please help.

  • Take the motherboard battery out or 5-10 mins
  • Unplug the 24pin and connect it.
  • Get a motherboard speaker to hear any beep codas You wont get them over the audio jacks on the io
  • get a old pc and just start swapping things out until its fixed.
  • IT could be that the motherboard was shocked by static electricity, unlikely though.

Have you tried turning it off and on again?
