Basically all of logitech's mice have insane range. I just tested my logitech M510 that I "found" in best buy's recycling bin (with the factory batteries!) and it seems perfectly happy at 15+ feet with the receiver behind a steel monitor chassis

Are you using the mouse in the same room that the receiver is located?

Yeah I would be, but my couch is sat around 10-15 ft away from the PC.

As far as I'm aware, most wireless mice have a maximum range of ~10m or ~30feet

To improve range (and reliability), you'll probably want to use front panel USBs, wo avoid signal degradation

HP is evil by default.

I had a cheapo Gigabyte one that worked fine at quite a range (until the receiver decided to commit suicide in my laptop)

My Steelseries WoW MMO <insert 2km of name here> works up to like 20 feet (may work at a higher range but no actual way to test it)

I don't really recommend the WoW MMO mouse (plus, it's out of the budget by about double). I'm having issues with the left click switch and a friend has issues with the scroll wheel.

Logitech's line-up is your best bet, tbh

Look for the ones that use the little tiny reciever which is made of black plastic with an orange spotty thing on it. Its their unifying reciever (loose it and another one from something else will work just as well)

I had an older logitech mouse with a massive reciever and it SERIOUSLY had a range of only 12in. It came with a USB extention lead too... As far as I am aware, those old ones aren't sold anymore.

I actually have a wireless logitech keyboard already for that PC, and it has the BEST range, so going with them I wouldnt have any problems with.

My dad still uses one of those old ones, and good god.. watching him struggle even after telling him to spend 10$ and upgrade is probably one of the funniest things I've ever witnessed.
