Corsair Strafe RGB - Internal memory

rjfaber91

Good evening, people! A while ago I bought a Corsair Strafe RGB to replace my old membrane keyboard, and while it's taken me a while to get used to the way one's supposed to use a mechanical keyboard, I have to say that so far, I'm liking it very much...

However, there is one thing that bothers me slightly. The Strafe RGB is marketed as having an internal memory that stores information about the RGB settings and key allocation, so that it keeps the same settings even when connected to another computer. This sounds great, but for me, the colour settings reset to the mostly red-colour factory standard whenever the Corsair Utility Engine isn't running, including whenever I reboot my system. Now, of course this isn't a major issue, but since the Strafe is supposed to have this internal memory, I'm wondering why it doesn't seem to be used.

Am I missing some well-hidden button in the Corsair Utility Engine that transfers the settings to the keyboard's internal memory, or is there some sort of other way to accomplish this?

PS: I know a lot of people are going to go offtopic and comment saying I should have bought a K70 instead of a Strafe, since they cost effectively the same, but I just thought the Strafe was much, much better looking, and I can live without the extra features.
