Will the Nvidia HB bridge work with 980 Tis?

My Asus rog 3 way bridge doesn't fit my new cards because they are triple slot and block the middle connectors.

 

So I need an 80mm two way bridge and the HB bridge is the only option for that spacing (2 slot gap).

I honestly don't know if it will work, though I'm pretty certain you won get the added benefits of using an hb bridge over an led bridge from it.

I don't care about the increased bandwidth, I care about buying an 80mm SLI bridge that doesn't look like turd.

 

Well I ordered one, if it isn't backwards compatible I can just send it back.
