I made a video for my project in school. Which I edited in Premiere Pro + After Effects which resulted to 17GB. How can I lower the File size? I don't mind if Quality becomes lower but not too low. Is it possible to make it fit on a 4gb USB? Replies will be appreciated :))

A 4 GB usb drive will probably allow you to write up to about 3800-3900 MB of actual file. Let's go with 3800 MB.

3800 MB is 3 800 x 1024 KB  or 3800 x 1024 x 1024 bytes where each bytes is 8 bits.

The bitrate is a video is expressed in kbps ( thousands of bits per second). The audio bitrate of your video is probably fixed, let's say 192 kbps for AC3 stereo, or 384 kbps for 5.1 AAC.  The container itself (mkv, mp4, avi) will probably use up about 2-5 kbps to hold the video and audio together.

So let's say your video is exactly one hour long (3600 seconds), then the overal bitrate of your file should be :

3800 x 1024 x 1024 x 8 bits / 3600 seconds =  ~ 8,854,641 bits per second which divided by 1000 is 8854 kbps. If you substract 192 kbps for audio and about 2 kbps for the container, you're left with about 8660 kbps for video. So you go in the renderer configuration and configure the video bitrate to be up to around 8500 kbps (encoders are not super precise, sometimes they go over the value configured, sometimes under, so it's safer to put there about 95-98% of the bitrate you figured out.

You just redo the math with the number of seconds your final render has and the bitrate chosen for audio

Wow. The video that I made was just 2 minutes long. I recorded it on my DSLR 16mp, I think that's why it was kinda big.

PS: Im kinda noob at this
