Anyone noticed an increase in performance across the board?

I've ran the heaven benchmark and it gave me +2~fps on my 290x

:D

Its also fucks up overclocking on the fury, you can either overclock the core or the memory but not both at the same time....

Also there is no option to overclock the memory in overdrive.

i had no crashes, but i have removed the driver anyway.

Weird... on the 290x i only see the upsides and no downsides...

only 2 really minor issues for me,

1. FPS dropped only when picking heroes in Dota 2 with DX9, no problem with DX11.

2. Cannot finish 3DMark API test.

Other than those the driver is rock solid, i think there's another improvement in DX11 drawcalls that's why we see some minor performance increase in games but i can't confirm that because of the 2nd problem.

16.7.3 been pretty solid for me on my 290x and oc works fine, I usually turn off oc before driver update and then reapply those in sapphire trixx. Din't really notice any performance increase as 1-2 fps difference is hardly an improvement and can easily be affected by what I have in background. I had one single soft driver crash that recovered when launching Ark but this can easily be Ark issue, as its still far from perfect or optimized and didn't have any driver crashes after that one.

What model is your 290x?

*edit= ah i saw that its a tri-x OC as well (same as me)

What are your OCs and how are your load temps?

Mine are 1075/1400 hovering around ~78c load temps (33c ambient)

No problems here either with the driver. Can't comment on performance increase since it's my 1st driver since my card is new.

Try Dota 2 with Vulkan.

Could be better now that when the beta started. First match you play with Vulkan it may perform a bit worse cause it's caching stuff. But after that in heavy battles you should get slightly better fps than dx9/dx11

Yeah, I have old 4gb tri-x oc version. My OC is 1100/1500 with +44mv and +25% power limit, only steam vr bench fails until i raise power limit to 30%, temps are usually around 72°C with fan at 65%, my room is airconned, so ambient around 24°C. I can get it to 1150/1600 easily but to get it 100% stable requires to push it past +100mv and at that point power draw and heat is insane even with fan at max it can go upto 85°C with those settings and in Valley avg fps at 1440p is only half fps higher, so not really worth it
