How to completely remove vocals from a track

Lads,

 

I was wondering if there was a way to COMPLETELY remove vocals from a sound track; most tutorials I've seen work but you can sorta still hear it. 

Anyone know how to completely remove vocals? or any youtube tutorials that do it perfectly?

You're not going to be able to by normal means - no open source utility will completely get rid of it without diminishing the quality of the track.

 

The only practical way to get it completely out is to have the original mix and remove the vocal tracks.

No because the vocals are already MIXED into the track, to remove it is like trying to remove egg from a completed pancake batter (i think that's how you make pancakes)...or trying to extract all the marinade from a piece of meat from the oven..... #analogies.....

you can find some songs on the internet as backtrack songs without vocals (professional mix without vocals) or complete multitrack projects where youd  can just mute what you don't like. Usually those tracks are not free but also not that expensive
