£100 wireless router recommendations

So I'm working on upgrading my parents home network, due to the complaints of not being able to stream 4K netflix properly or get a good nvidia gamestream link in the room where the TV is, which is at the opposite end of the house.

The solution? Turning the current ISP router into a modem, then wiring a new router to the middle of the house.

The issue, is what router to get. I've been given a budget of £100 to get a router, most likely off of amazon.co.uk and am looking at what is the best one to get.

What I've seen so far is the Netgear D6400, although I don't know if there are any better ones for the same price or less.

So then, recommendations away!

Beast of a router. 

I should be able to stretch for that, might have to add some of my own money into it, but then again, I'l reap the benefit whenever I'm there. They're with virgin media, so it's pretty easy to set up if I recall.
