My budget is about 900 US to spend on a computer that I want to build. Used pcpartpicker to confirm the compatibility between components and so far I found everything on Amazon for about 750 US (missing peripherals). But I wanted to know what you think about it? Is it good so far? Am I mistaken with the parts I'm picking out? (I attached an image with all the components so far or go to https://amzn.com/w/WXWB09XSEQ1 which is the list I also made on Amazon.com).

I'd go with an Intel CPU, and an RX 480. Don't go AMD.

Also, are you planning on adding more storage later? If you plan on playing games you'll quickly run out with a 240GB drive.

Yes I do plan to add probably a 3TB HDD to store games, the SSD I plan to install only the OS. What intel CPU do you recommend?

Don't listen to everyone saying OOH BUY INTEl. Intel doesn't deliver the best performance for its money. Not only the Intel cpu is going to be much more expensive, but the motherboard will be too. In the end you will give 150-250 dollars more for the same if not less performance.

Edit: Replace the 970 with RX-480 or a 1060

i should of pointed out the gpu i'm just used to 970's being the standard gpu i guess. don't get a 970 get a 1060 or a rx 480 if you can find one. 970 aren't worth it anymore.

a used GTX 970 for about 180$ is a great deal to me

But that would imply changing the motherboard, right? Because of the 6500 being LGA1151 not LGA1150.

It's the same motherboard you would need for the 6500k
