Crailz

so im bored and sick of my old pc.. 6 years old

hd5770, i5 750, 8gb ddr3.. asus maximus iii..

and i spent so much on this... 1000euros in 2010

I decided i need and want an upgrade..

this is what I was thinking :

i5 6600 (non-K), HyperX Black 8GB DDR4 2400MHz CL15, a 500w 80+ Silver PSU from SuperFlower, Sapphire Radeon R9 380x NITRO OC 4GB or a GTX960 from ASUS Strix DirectCU 4GB

a 120GB UV400 SSD

all on a MSI B150 Mortar motherboard or Gigabyte GA-B150-HD3

any opinions? any suggestions?

I will be editing in Lightroom, Photoshop, heavy premiere and light after effects

+a little bit of gaming, CSGO, NFS, Forza.. :)

What's your budget? Do you need all parts of the PC like HDD+psu+case?

Haven't you considered the 1060 and the RX 480

PCPartPicker part list

CPU: Intel Core i5-6600 3.3GHz Quad-Core Processor  (€224.95 @ Mindfactory)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B150M-D3H Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard  (€82.08 @ Amazon Deutschland)
Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury Black 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2133 Memory  (€73.89 @ Amazon Deutschland)
Storage: OCZ TRION 150 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  (€63.90 @ Amazon Deutschland)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive  (€52.49 @ Amazon Deutschland)

Video Card: AMD RX 480 4GB aftermarket variant (€240.00)
Case: Thermaltake Versa H22 ATX Mid Tower Case  (€34.69 @ Amazon Deutschland)
Power Supply: XFX TS 550W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply  (€64.53 @ Mindfactory)
Total: €836.53

Idk about euro prices but after the 480 and 1060 release, the gtx 960 has probably the worse price/performance for any budget oriented gpu. Consider saving a bit more for the 4GB RX 480 and be able to play on high-ultra settings in 1080p.

If your desire is editing and rendering, I would suggest the I7 6700 instead of the i5-6600. Not alot more expensive (when you compare it to the rest of what you're buying) and is going to operate about twice as good in CPU bound tasks (like editing and rendering) due to its higher boost clock and hyperthreading capabilities.

I would also suggest an RX 480 (even a 4gb version, they should become more affordable as more become available) or GTX 1060 rather than the GPU's you selected. They are much more powerful, and probably won't cost a whole lot more. although if you MUST get a 380 or 960, get the 380, as its slightly better in gaming.

Other than that, RAM is RAM, so get whatever you want. 8GB can be limiting depending on your exact workload, but RAM is so cheap and easy to upgrade later if you find that to be the case. Your exact choice of PSU isn't critical in a build like this so long as you have enough wattage (which you do). Your motherboard decision is fine so long as it comes with whatever features you deem necessary out of your board (I'm a personal fan of the GA-H170-D3HP for its features and price, but I don't know how affordable that will or will not be where you live)

my budget is around 800eur

need a PSU and a case, yes.

no pheripherals, since I already got those

I will get a HDD separately. only need an SSD.

everything is a bit more expensive in Romania, so 800euros I think will be perfect.. of course, 800euros on pcpartpicker or others
