x99 Taichi vs x99 Asus Rog Strix

As in title, which motherboard you find better?
http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/X99 Taichi/index.asp

https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/ROG-STRIX-X99-GAMING/

Some thing worth mentioning: (Taichi vs ROG)

- 12 power phases vs 8 power phases

- dual LAN vs single LAN + LANguard

- gold contact in dimm slots vs standard (not planning on overclocking memory anyways - buying 3200Mhz ones, so dunno if it matters)

- PuritySound 3 vs SupremeFX

- Dual Ultra M.2 vs Ultra M.2 + U.2 (Dunno how many of those are usable with 28 lanes processor)

- standard socket vs additional pins socket

- no buttons vs MemOK button (Q-Code and all that stuff)

Forgot to mention, pricing of the first is still unknown in my country, but i'm expecting it to be 15-20% cheaper than the second one at max

i would recomend the asus because i had different motherboards of both brands and generaly i had a better overall experience qith asus but if your budget limits you the go for the asrock as it is a midto low-end solution not like asus which is one of the best brands out there

Budget is not limiting me in any way. Thanks for your opinion. :)

I would say the Taichi, as it waist less money on bling (like LEDs).

It still got everything you want.

I speak my mind, sorry if thats a problem.

Yea. I prefer the taichi simple looks, but i'm considering Rog because of all the power protection stuff it got

A lot of times, they add stuff on motherboards that only effect record holders and other extreme overclockers.

So which protections did you have in mind?

All the "gamers guardian" stuff - electrostatic discharge protection, lan guard and the rest of the protections.

If they where needed, so would all board have them. Meaning it its extra protection for rare cases.

At least that is the way I see it.

I speak my mind, sorry if thats a problem.
