Hey guys! as the title suggest this is my first ever PC build with a couple of months saving I have finally reached the point that I can't wait anymore so this is my build I'm going with the all razer color theme build because Razer's color theme is black and green [just so happened to be my favorite colors] and I'm going all out busting I don't want to cheap out. but in the country I live in [Kuwait] is kind of a bit expensive most likely double the normal price. Please help me check if the prices of the parts are reasonable enough please.

This are the parts:

  • Processor = i7 6700k                                                                                 Price: 129 kwd [426.45 US Dollars]
  • Asus z170 deluxe                                                                                      Price: 119 kwd [393.39 US Dollars]
  • 32GB DDR4 3000 HyperX Predator (2x16)                                              Price: 83 kwd [274.38 US Dollars]
  • H440 Razer Edition                                                                                   Price: 55kwd [181.82 US Dollars]
  • Zotac GeForce GTX 1080 Founders Edition                                            Price: 318kwd [1,051.24 US Dollars]
  • 6tb Red Hard Drive                                                                                   Price: 32kwd [105.79 US Dollars]
  • 1000 watt Gold Vanguard Cooler Masters                                               Price:72kwd [238.02 US Dollars]
  • Nepton Liquid Cooling Fan Cooler Masters                                             Price: 38kwd[125.62 US Dollars]
  • Win10 OS                                                                                                 Price: 49kwd [162.09 US Dollar]

Total in Kwd: 895 KWD
Total in Dollars: 3233.18 USD

and that's without the peripherals I wouldn't mind the price but it looks a bit too much doesn't it?
What do you guys think?

Because of the Community that helped me a lot! I should be updating my build picking and choosing the parts that they have Suggested!

Thank you so much! because of my countries location my build might take about 3 months minimum to finish I hope I could finish this...  Thanks guy! for the help this community is awesome!

Just about overkill everything (motherboard, RAM, storage, power supply) ... and no SSD?

Founders Edition also sucks. Unless you like your card running hot.

1000W is overkill, but I suspect 550W won't allow the PSU to work at its maximum efficiency. A 620-750W might be better for such a build.

He said that he don't want to go cheap on it.

Overkill? I call it future headroom.

What if he later decides to upgrade and buy another GTX 1080?

Would you still recommend 550w?

To the OP: Everything seems fine, just add SSD.

Since you don't have money issues (I guess so), you can go for M.2 samsung 950 pro 256gb for windows and maybe additional 850 evo 500gb for other stuff :)

It's all really good, but if you want better upgradeability you should look for the X99 formfactor.

I agree with blackie, 1000w is ALOT. If you want to be safe for the future and have some extra space 750w is good, 850w if you wanna be stupid safe.
I would step down from 6TB HDD and get an SSD from what you save. I mean 6TB is crazy much.. Get 2-3 and add an extra HDD later to save money, besides; it's really worth getting an SSD for your OS.

EVGA FTW Gaming available?

You could save alot of money without losing performance if you cut down on some parts and put that money towards a second GTX 1080 for SLI.

in this country it takes forever for that to arrive at retail stores I might order it from in US but it would take me 2 to 4 weeks to arrive at my door ugh..

I heard a second 1080 won do much? will it?

What else is available in Kuwait? It doesn't have to be the FTW.

A second GTX 1080 will improve performance immensely in games that scale. Three-way SLI and above yields poor gains for your dollar and is generally considered to be not worth it. 2-way SLI is stll good.

Thanks, I would try and give it more time omg I'm so excited for this build to come to life! I hold out on buying a car for this. yes I totally agree I just imagined how much memory I use over time and just spontaneously thought 6tb I'm still thinking of what brand to use one guy here suggest that I should use M.2 Samsung 950 pro what do you think?

I would change the hard drive. 6TB is nice but you will probably do with 2-3TBs. I would recommend getting 2 x HDDs and then use one for a backup as losing data is not fun.

Backup or RAID?

I edit my posts a lot.

Well depends on your monitor(s).

If you are using 4K and want to have everything on ultra and get 60 fps, you will need 2nd GTX 1080.

And I saw your other post asking if 2nd GTX 1080 would help much. In good optimised games and new titles: yeah!

But it's true that some games don't support multi GPUs. So it all comes down to what will you be playing and at what resolution + refresh rate.

M.2 samsung 950 pro is one of the fastes SSDs alive. 2500MB/s read spead and 1500MB/s write spead ... Meanwhile normal SSDs have around 500/400MB/s, and normal HDD around 100/100MB/s. So having that M.2 for windows, would mean pretty fast boot :)

Also about GPU ... if it's possible try to get GTX 1080 aftermarket that have at least 2 fans on it. They might be even cheaper than those founders edition, and will deliver better temperatures and same performance.

When it comes to fast and "cheap" drives for OS the M.2 950 Pro is a beast, personally looking at it too. If you think it's too expensive the Samsung 850 Evo/Pro is a good replacement (Sata).

But yeah, I'd recommend going for about 2-3 TB HDD now, and if it isn't enough just add another and go RAID.

I agree with that.

If your budget won't allow you to get 950 pro, try to buy smaller HDD and see if that can get you 950 pro in your budget.

Once you go SSD, you never go back ^^
