X99 Vs Z170 Build Help!

Im trying to figure out if a x99 system would benefit to the low cost z170. Im planning to run 2 monitors 1 for 4k gaming and the second 1080p for media consumption while gaming. Im planning to use my system in the following ways gaming, downloading torrents, run a Minecraft server (about 10 players), run 3D animation software (Bryce 7,Unity), Photoshop, and also run Mac Os on a VM.

This is my z170 build

I've ran a MC server before.

It really doesn't take alot of PC to run one. It's more about the connection speed than anything.

get x99 if you want to render 3d stuff, editing photoshop and vm it benefits from the more cores the 6800k has (6700k is still capable but not like 6800k)

I think comparing the two is pointless because they can both grant you what you want with ease. But I would opt for the 6800k mainly because you'll be getting better performance in the long run when some tasks like gaming can benefit from the extra cores. Not to mention it's only $100 different in price.

If you plan on doing video editing working on VM's then the 6800k should be better.
