So I'd love to get this because I would finally be able to upgrade from a GTX 765m (yes, the "m" is there) to a real GPU. And incidentally lower the cost of making a modern desktop to one I can feel comfortable in doing within (a) month(s) instead of (a) (half-)year(s).

Running a HD 7770 2gb, can barely run AAA titles at 15-30 fps on lowest settings 900p. Hoping for a good upgrade.

Might make a better pair with my PhenomII

560Ti, an AMD GPU would sure make picking my next monitor easy.  I want adaptive sync, been loyal to team green but I know FreeSync will be the eventual defacto standard.

My current rig has a Radeon R5 220 in it and I can play CSGO at 720p on lowest settings at only 50 frames per second. I want this so the fps wont drop to 20 when I'm going through a smoke grenade
