r7 240 / 250

On a real budget here, debating which r7 i should get 240 / 250
my concerns are

1. can it run cobble stone / nuke / etc (big maps) with stable fps?
2. does fps drop / lag if smoke effects are in front of u / near you? (smoke nade , molly , HE nade's smoke effect)
3. If i go onto a big map and those smoke effects go off, will i get sever fps lag?
(I REALLY NEED THESE ANSWERS)
Every setting with be set to low, except model.

CPU - i7 4970s
12 GB ram

I saw the rant linus made about the r7 240 in his video and not to get it but i saw ppl running csgo really well on youtube benchmarks so im realllly debating here D:

You can easily get a GTX 750 ti / GTX 760 at that price point, and it would be the best option.

Try yoinking a used 7850 for $50 or so. That'll tear through CSGO easily.

Yeah that doesn't happen really at all those usually go for about $100 or so.

CSGO would run fine off of the igpu of your i7.

Gonna have to agree with the consensus here: either buy a used GPU and get almost certainly better performance in games (CS:GO as far as I know is not very demanding on the GPU, but still, go with a better value), or lacking that, whether due to low supply or out of budget pricing, use your iGPU like @SLAYR suggested. You may have to turn down settings to get it at a reasonable framerate, but you'd probably have to do the same with an R7 240/250 anyway.

I love how everybody does their research before posting because, at least rummaging through eBay, I'm not seeing GTX 760's going for $60-80, the current price of GPUs like the R7 250. Usually, they're floating around $100 on the low-end, which I'm assuming is out of OP's price range.

OP, I found a GTX 560 Ti 2GB on eBay for $60, which is on par with what the R7 250 is selling for but more powerful. Granted, I had a 448 ver. when I had it, but it ran older titles like Far Cry 3 on high/ultra @ 1080p, I'd imagine the non-448 can do CS:GO fine, especially if you want to use a config.

I also found a GTX 570 for $75 if you wanna splurge.

if you have to insist you think for yourself, i'm not going to believe you.

If i remember correct it was about why teh fuck would amd make such a low budget card

It was more about why they'd make a card at a "budget price" with such piss poor price to performance, it basically ends up being that if you threw in another $20, you'd get like more than twice the performance.

if you have to insist you think for yourself, i'm not going to believe you.

just sayin, I looked after I suggested it and it went for $69......... $49 after rebate.... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131682&ignorebbr=1

the 2 I have are 2gig cards but they're really good performers for the price. the 250x probably costs more.
