My computer won't make it bios

My specs GTX 970 4GB

850w evga psw

i5 4460  @3.20gz

giga byte GA-Z97P-D3 motherboard

8gb corsair vengeance ( 2sticks of 4) 

 

I put my computer on sleep because I've had this problem before whenever I press a key on my keyboard it starts up like normal all lights and fans turn on then it doesn't even make it to the bios all the lights, fans turn off restarts and doe sit again. Thanks

Do you have a motherboard like an Asus X99 Deluxe that has a little screen on the motherboard where numbers show up if you failed to boot/post/make it to BIOS?

No it's a Gigabyte one it has no screen.

how are you able to get out of the boot loop?

ok, first thing, clear the CMOS.

 

if it does it again there are other troubleshooting to be made, what's your OS?

Windows 10 64bit I think and also I forgot to mention I have a 1tb seagate hdd

@wkdpaulI have my cpu cooler on I don't think I can reach the cmos battery

you shouldn't have to, there's a CMOS jumper somewhere, check your motherboard manual.

It's all good mate replaced the CMOS battery with the correct type and it worked thanks a lot.
