So as you may have noticed lately new motherboards boast reinforced PCIe to protect about GPU sag I assume, has anyone actually done any testing on these? I have tried googling and searching on youtube but I have found no one actually testing if it is true or just some sell talk from developers.

I don't think anyone wants to destroy a motherboard and GPU to test a tiny feature that doesn't do much...

It helps to a certain degree but less for sag as that actually occurs with the PCB of the GPU, it's more for preventing this from occurring if the lock isn't unlatched before pulling on the expansion card:

It doesn't prevent sag, it just helps protect the PCIe slot against stupid people. Don't fall for that market gimmick: it's okay to like it, but don't you ever get fooled into thinking it is of any use.

Just make sure to always unlock the pcie lock before trying to remove the card, and then they are just there for aestetics.
