Opinions on some old hardware

Well , as the title says , what do you guys think about this find ?

 

Its a BL440ZX Intel motherboard , 64MB RAM , and a Intel Celeron CPU ...

 

The GPU is an S3 ?? Also a D-Link network card

It's pretty old, but you can certainly play some DOS gaems on it. The GPU is an S3 GPU which was pretty common back in the day. Just remember, this thing can only handle a certain amount of storage (HDD storage). It might only use 2GB.

Hmm , i didnt actually plan it for anything , but il keep it in mind .

This is one of those computers you pay $25 for then open it up, clean it, then put together as a starter build. Or as a build project where you mod the case and what not.

You could install Puppy Linux on it and use it as a general web browsing and word processing machine.

Well , checked the functionality , everything works .. plugged in an IDE HDD with Windows XP , and it "performs" admirably , the obvious "bottleneck" being the amount of RAM ..
