Overclock GPU

I recently overclocked my R9 380 GPU.

stock

Core clock- 1010 mhz

mem. clock- 1450

final tested oc

Core clock- 1120 mhz

mem. clock- 1500

i just put the power limit to the max in msi afterburner and slowly tweaked and stress tested as i went until the pc crashed.

I didnt play with the voltages.

Is that oc okay for everyday use or not?

Wow, that thing OCs like a beast if you got 10x core clock on it.

Test it out? How would we know? Lol.

that clock - fastest gpu ever :P

but what I've heard,1120 is quite good for amd cards. and as long as the temps are fine, you can run that all day

Thanks, my GPU is a Sapphire r9 380 so I think AMD makes up for its bad drivers with good hardware. The temps are 71 degrees celsius at max usage.(well that's an afternoon well spent)

That is an excellent OC without added voltage. You might be good to go 1200mhz with added voltage. but for everyday gaming, you don't have to do that.

Heheh. Trust me when I say Nvidia drivers aren't any better. The number of times the nvidia control panel crashed in a day was more than the lifespan of my 390x + 280x. In fact, I wished I had AMD drivers right now.

That seems like decent result concidering that you didn't add any voltage.

My R9 390 nitro barely OCed for additional 100MHz but with +100mV voltage also.

Even if you add +50mV, it's still fine for every day usage ... will work for at least few years before something start happening with it.
