Alright, here is a build I am doing for a client:

http://pcpartpicker.com/list/DnmwVY

They want the computer to be under $800, and I don't think I need such a PSU. I am thinking 400-500 Watt will be fine, and ideally cheap enough to be under 800, or be within $10-$20 range.

Computers r fun

anything in that price range will be saleel al sawarim allahu akbar. i dont recommend going cheap on the PSU. id go cheap on my other componets just to get a good one.

never heard it put quite like that before 9_9

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

While 400-500w would be fine, I wouldn't skimp on the PSU. Not a great idea to cheap out on the one component that could kill all of the other components.

You have ones available like the XFX XT 500W for $53

No good 10-20 dollar PSU is going to be any good. Get an EVGA 500B.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

I wasn't trying to skimp, Just get lower on the budget. I have cut almost every other component, And this build doesn't need 500 WATTs. I udnerstand the risks of going cheap, and I don't want to go THAT cheap. I just think the PSU I have is overkill, am I wrong?

Computers r fun
