Greetings. I have two desktops at my office but I want to sell them and get something small due to lack of space and was thinking about the NUC from Intel.

All I need them to do is:

* run a couple light software programs, typical of a small business

* print

* connect to each other via wired LAN

* browse the web

* be reliable

* boot and load programs as fast as possible (therefore SSD)

Budget is 1,000 euro for both. Also, windows 8.1 would be optimal.

Would you go for the NUC's? If yes, which one? i3 or would pentium/celeron be enough? If not, what other would you recommend? Thanks!

Seek and you shall find.

Dell optiplex micro. Better support and about the same price.

Haven't used those, but they look like a fantastic option. Good find.

Why not Windows 10?

I'd personally go for a core i5 NUC since they don't sell the core i3 or Pentium models anymore.

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.

Windows 10 will cause problems to my main software. They do sell i3 and Pentium in Greece. i5 will go over my budget.

Seek and you shall find.
