THIS THING IS SEXY AF (updated with larger images ala VideoCardz)

And now I am even more confused... I wanted to get 480 temporary until Vega is out, but since it doesn't bring anything new in terms of performance and price to performance (at least in my country, 480 reference costs 1349 zł while Sapphire 390 Nitro costs 1440zł, so 480 Nitro will be at he same price or most likely more expensive than 390 Nitro), I decided not to wait another hell knows how many weeks for custom 480s and just get 390 Nitro (still didn't order it). Power draw is not a problem, I already counted that and my monthly electricity bill would grow from 250 to 258 if I take 390 over 480, so this is less than marginal difference. Noise and temps are also not a problem, Sapphire 390 Nitro is very cool and quiet card, especially for its TDP. But now this 480 Nitro looks really promising and also I am still curious how much power limited 480 is and if I can beat ~1150-1200 MHz 390 once its OC potential is unleashed, if there is any at all and additional power connectors will give any benefit and allow ~1500 overclocks. But there is still no release date and no reviews, hell knows how much waiting is left, and I could get 390 in like 3 days from now. My patience is really ending, but still I am curious about what 480 truly is after temperature and power limitations are removed by AIBs. But on the other hand waiting for 2+ weeks for reviews and probably month or so for availability in reasonable price is too much for me at the moment, I am sitting without GPU for a month now...

I might actually get this. Hot damn.

No offence, I was always thought that the core member at this forum, I mean all those ppl that posted more than 10k post , are hard core gamer.

At least, they are enthusiasts.

After I checked their profile I find that most of them are not into high end gaming or high end GPUs at all.

So, am I wrong???

If I wanna get a new GPU, I would probably get the new GTX1070 or w8 for the AMD equivalent, even though I only play witcher3 and lol at 1440p.

:/

If you guys love PC so much, why not going for the high end cards and components out there??

Or did I get sucked into all these too much, falling for all the marketing, the advertising, the unboxing (let's be honest, those are just ads, they just put on a diff mask) too much ?

If it is not broken, let's fix till it is.

Different budgets for different people. And post counts don't mean a thing. At all. And most importantly, you do not judge how much of an enthusiast a person is by only the PC specs.

If they fixed the power issue, then the REAL power of the 480 will be unlocked by them.

Dat backplate, holy shet. That is damn sexy. Like Vapor-X sexy. Not a fan of the cheese grater but you don't see that once installed.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

Well AMD is fixing the current models with a BIOS update, but those are 6 pin models. This one is 8 pin and shouldn't have issue since the 8 pin and PCI-E connector can carry a combined 375W and the spikes happening right now are only going up to 300W.
