you mean that one?

no I mean the dell 7559 with a 6300HQ instead of the 6700HQ

Hej there,

I am buying a Laptop at the end of August.

It should have/be:

  • between 500 and 900€
  • at least 1080p
  • at least 15" (suggestens on smaller sizes also welcome)
  • decent battery life
  • the lighter the better
  • Full Windows (I will install the Win10 Pro so it doesn't really matter whats on it)

I will use it for:

  • school stuff
  • some light gaming (lan partys, ...)
  • light edeting / simulation programs

I wonder if I should wait a little longer for maybe the new 1080M GPUs or focus on older ones.

I hope you guys now something which would fit me.

Thanks for the help,

Matze

By light gaming, what games are you talking about? Also, we have no clue when the 1080m is coming out. It could be tomorrow and could be next year. I wouldn't wait if you need something like nowish. I personally like Lenovo notebooks. Im not sure how well the Razer Blade Stealth works, only because its an ultra book and has an option for an external GPU, because it could be a good fit. I can tell you as a student, lugging around a gaming notebook is a pain in the ass. Of course I live off campus, and have access to a gaming rig.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

kek the 1080m is going to be in laptops that cost 2500€ and up not the cheap laptops. Luckily razer laptops are out of your budget, they are just 100% shit they thermal throttle, no quality control, joke of a support, joke when it comes to build quality, sure they use nice materials, but what does that help when a 4 year old could put them nicer together. You might be able to afford the Y700 and if you can't afford it look at the dell 7559, it cuts some corners like keyboard, speakers and build quality to bring the price down.

Well for games like Anno/Warcraft/AoE/Mincraft maybe little bit LoL i think the suggestions from Dackzy are a little bit overkill for that also a little to expensive.

I also have a rig at home which i play every day.

I can't go over 900 and i only go that high if the performance is really worth it, so maybe something cheaper? also if I can't really play thats not that big of a problem.
