Rockstart Game Social Club - reset password - email in russian language.

Hi all. I have an question about Rockstar Games Social Club. Why when i am trying to reset password i am getting email from Rockstar but in russian language ? Is this normal or something fishy?

Here is this details :

Why on russian language? Enter link its safe?

Well something like this happened to me as well. Just ignore it and change your current password.

I had that a couple of weeks ago- I found that some guy was trying to take over my account. Immediately go into your account on another computer/phone to access their website and change the password and the language

Yeah but to change password i must enter to that russian link from rockstar social club? Rockstar sended link in russian language to change password. Enter that russian link ?

Go to the rockstarsocialclub website using google (DO NOT CLICK THAT LINK) and log into your account using your existing username and password and then change your password. That email is just them trying to get verification of their new password, which would lock you out.

Send Rockstar a seperate email explaining your situation. They'll probably want you to reply later with a picture of some ID proving you to the account but hopefully you should have some laying around

It could be official but I personally wouldn't take the risk and I would just go to their website and do it. I view the situation similar to someone phoning to say they are from the bank and they want to reset your password. You could either reset it through the same person ie click the link on that email or phone back on your mobile ie open a new browser and go to their website through Google. My advice is that you should go on Google and go to the Rockstar website to change your password and change the language of your account back to English and the location to wherever you live. When they tried to take my account, they tried to change my account location to Libya!

I had the same problem a while back. I just went to the English site and reset my password. Problem solved.

This occurs when your account has previously been hacked, by a Russian, who has changed your language to Russian. Gmail automatically sent my password reset to spam due to it being in Russian. As long as you clicked password reset on the official site, that Russian link should be safe. Just change your pass and go to setting>language and choose English to solve it.

 

Ps: i know this thread is 2 years old, but it pops up when you google "social club password reset Russian" so I figured id put an answer on here.

My email recently disassociated from my rockstar account but luckily the email verification I was sent informing me of the change had a recover account link on it.

 

edit: Just noticed i replied to an old thread.  Hope it all worked out then, lol
