how does minecraft hook you in?

i havnt played minecraft in 6 months and i remember playing this server and i started playing it again but now it feels like i cant stop how does a game about blocks and stuff hook you in so good? i been playing GTA V and now i just want to play minecraft do they use nicotine in there games?

Probably just the amount of possibilities in terms of gamemodes, mods, whatever. The devs really opened up a lot of doors for people to just mess around with stuff.

It's just a really creative game, which not a lot are tbh. Kids these days are obsessed with first person shooters and stuff like that...

I personally play when I do boring stuff in Eve like mining, mostly because minecraft is low impact so I can run 2 Eve clients and minecraft with minimal lag.

I really get lost in giant modpacks like Feed the Beast and Tekkit. Me and my buds are seniors in high school and we still have a FTB server LAN every once in a while.

Started at:  Tekkit; then went to Voltz; then Attack Of The B-Team(AOTB); FTB Infinity and finally TestPackPleaseIgnore(TPPI).  I think Voltz and AOTB were the most fun for me.
