Also MSI is releasing their own card to which has the same cooler as the gtx 1000 series

Saw this pic yesterday and it seems it was really not edited.

To put it bluntly, their STRIX coolers were crap with the 700-series. The 900-series was okay, it wasn't exactly the worst thing out there but it was still pretty bleh. The thing was, they virtually copied and pasted the same cooler onto the AMD 200/300-series (which we all know run naturally more power-hungry and hotter than Maxwell cards at stock) and it ended up being a hot mess.

Now, I'm all ready to give ASUS credit for their new coolers IF they turn out to be good - their Matrix series are solid cooling-wise and I personally regard the ARES series as one of the best out there. Until then, I'm going to remain very pessimistic based on their past products (read: mistakes).
