Can't lower fan speed on MSI mobo

I have a MSI Z170M and I cant seem to lower the cpu fan speed. It is running at max speed all the time. Trying to lower it in the bios doesn't work, and in the MSI command center it doesn't work. Is there something im doing wrong, or what..?

Have you tried updating BIOS? Have you tried clearing CMOS?

Got an up to date BIOS?

The Z170-G43 neeed the new BIOS for fan changes to actually make a difference

Okay, I posted this thread earlier and after updating the bios, the cpu fan still won't slow down. Please help me, it sounds like a jet engine....
