KB_TheDireWolf

Have you considered a NUC/Brix etc? Would be more than enough power, and you don't have to worry about taking it with you.

Or a laptop? Those are great replacements as well.

For the PSU, use an Antec Basiq / Cheap Seasonic if you can, the 430W isn't deadly but there are better options for $45 CAD

This for instance http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/7Hg323/antec-power-supply-bp350

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

My grandmother is old and has bad eyes. She refuses to go to the eye doctor because she is scared of what they will tell her. So my mom wants to get a big screen for her. Laptop, er not really sure.

NUC, not a bad idea. I was looking at it the at this one: http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX58518

I'd also consider these:

I don't know a great deal about Celeron's, but I do know that most elderly people are fine waiting a bit for something to load. ;)

There's also a few ways you can get greatly discounted Windows.

You can plug the laptop to a bigger screen and set it up to display only on the big monitor. I don't think she'll try to do much to disable that :)

I honestly think a laptop is a bad idea since they are quite expensive for what you get, not to mention that if you get a low end one it will only last you like 4 years tops

Then build a mini itx computer you can have on yourself, something like a 10 to 15 liters cases should be taken as carry on baggage :)

you do know I'm not the one who made this thread right? Just making sure and also If the op sees this, I recommend either getting the nuc or something like was said before or maybe making something in a custom made wooden case or something since I know lumber is relatively easy to get in Vancouver(I used to live there and am moving back there soon) but I dont know about Alberta but I imagine that you guys have a home depot or something.
