Why has no one talked about this at all?
I have only heard about 480, not even any speculation about the 490.

Why is this?

Isn't it going to release later in the Vega line? That is what I thought.. But I'm not sure.

 

EDIT: what I was saying is that Polaris is the lower end and Vega will be the high end of AMD's GPU line

AMD has specified that the entire Polaris lineup only consists of the RX 460, RX 470 and RX 480.

 

The RX 490/X is coming later as part of the Vega lineup.

Honestly hoping that the rx 490 will cost $299 msrp, since it was said many times at the amd conference at computex that the line up of graphics cards will range from $100-$300 (or something like that). Plus, the extra couple of months means more time to save up for a better card :P
