Hey all, got my PC about a month ago now, and I sometimes watch anime or youtube with my sister or my friends. I've been doing this on my phone, though, and would like to get a set of or a single speaker purely for watching stuff on, not for gaming, as I have a 22" monitor so it'd be nice to have a speakers.

What speakers would you recommend?

I was going to get the "Trust Raina 2.1" set, but would it be better just to get a single speaker? I don't want anything to big. Also, I forgot to mention, I want them to be fairly cheap, as in under £20. I don't mind too much about audio quality as long as it's decent and (although there probably aren't any WORSE than my phone's speakers) better than my phone's speakers.

Thanks all!

PS - sorry for the rather hashed-together post

If you want cheap speakers, any would do, even the cheapest will be a lightyear better than phone speakers. They've got much more power.

A set of 2 speakers is more comfortable since stereo. If you got one it would sound odd for sound to be coming from just one direction.

Ok, thanks, do you think the Trust Raina 2.1 will be too big? Also are speakers complicated to set up? They look quite simple to connect from the images I have observed.

What do you mean too big?

Plugging in 2-3 jacks is the most you would have to do :P

check out genius, I had them for a couple of years, then I bought bigger ones from genius again.. I wont say they are perfect.. but probably the best for the price.. the big plus is because most of them are made out of wood...

Oh I forgot to mention this, but I'm a bit tight for space with my current arrangements. I planned to have my PC in the front room of my house, but it's currently in the living room..! lol

Check any local thrift stores or craigslist for random speaker sets people are selling. My local thrift stores have piles of computer speaker pairs for $5-20.

There aren't really many thrift stores in the UK, as far as I know, but I'll check on Gumtree (the craigslist equivalent I believe) and eBay.

Thanks for your advice!
