How often do you use a touchscreen?

I own a tablet but i never use it and there is no option for a phone so not very often.

I wouldn't avoid getting a touch screen, but I certainly wouldn't go looking for one.

I only use the touchscreen on my phone, If I still used my Nexus 7 (2012) then that maybe every other day or so.

So I did reply to the poll but just chose tablet.

All the time. I love the touch screen on my surface. It doesn't replace my mouse but it makes walking around the house and reading reviews 'n stuff super easy.

To me. Any device I use except a desktop or Console should have a touchscreen.

At least 2-3 times a day for a total of probably at least 1 hour.

I own those cheap chinese tablet, and surprisingly, I use touchscreen frequently despite it has keyboard dock similar with Asus Transformer, mainly used to scroll or zoom the page.

 

This alone make me want to switch my main laptop to the one that has touch screen in the future. I never know how useful the touchscreen on a laptop until I try it myself.

Well the macbook trackpad kind of makes touchscreen pointless, since you have the gestures and lovely tactility of it

 

plus its easier to reach when the laptop is infront of you (no aching arm holding it out all day trying to scroll awkwardly on a screen that moves when you press against it

Touchscreen monitors have a glare coating, which is pretty much a deal breaker for me. I meant I'd only avoid desktop monitors with touchscreen, not touchscreen displays in general. For small ultrabook laptops like the XPS 13 or tablets they make perfect sense.

You don't use it all day and if it's a small enough device like 12-13 inches it works great with a touchscreen.

I still think its more gimmick than essential on a laptop

 

on a 2in1 its essential but I dont think a laptop needs one, neither does a desktop, i couldnt even reach my monitor with my hand sat at my desk

For an All In One, I'd be furious if it didn't have one.

 

For a 2 in 1, it needs one.

 

For a laptop, it should have one.

 

For a desktop monitor, it would be a nice option.

I probably won't use and buy it because i like to keep my screen very clean. I can't stand screens with finger prints all over the place. AND as most of the laptops have glossy screens, it is another criteria why i would not buy a laptop with touchscreen.

For tablets, i see no use in my daily environment.
