The reason why im still on 359.06 is because its stable as fuck and new drivers wont improve anything about my GTX 760 :P

Cant really answer your question from personal experience, and u can google stuff yourself ;) but it would probably help if u mentioned what GPU u have. I believe that drivers for new Pascal cards can be unstable since its very new and still being worked on.

Working fine with, then again I have never had an Nvidia Driver problem in my entire life

Lucky u, or maybe u were on holidays or something when early this year there was a driver that made significant amount of users very unhappy when it would crash 10 times a day.

I have been having more and more issues with my G1 970. I had a super stable overclock with no voltage adjustments and the latest drivers have broken that overclock. When I added voltage to stabilize it I got a bunch of artifacting and filtering issues.

First build every: Intel Core i7 4790K, Asus Z97-A/USB 3.1 motherboard, Kingston HyperX FURY 1866 2x8 16GB Kit, Gigabyte Windforce GTX 970 G1 Gaming, Corsair Obsidian 450D Black ATX Mid Tower, Samsung 850 EVO 250GB & 3TB Toshiba HDD, EVGA SuperNOVA 750W G2, Corsair H100i GTX 240mm, Gigabyte Bluetooth 4.0/Wifi Card, Logitech G700S. Running on Windows 10

Surface Pro 3: i5 4300U with 8GB of ram and 256GB SSD. Running Windows 10 Pro

Pull back on your overclock.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

That's not exactly a fix...I have gone back to stock speeds and that's the most stable (still crashes more than before) but I bought my card for overclocking and saw huge performance gains with my previously stable overclock.

Isn't it wiser to just roll back the driver, leave the overclock and wait for the next stable one?

I got over 15fps in Fallout 4 with .39 same with Doom.

And they answered my question, didn't work. It's not a stability issue with the driver but most likely something else.

OP, check to make sure you don't have a Windows update trying to install. Common problem that causes your issues.

I have heard of other 970 users having problems with these latest drivers.

Yeah, my buddy came to me with the exact same issue. Argued with me for 4 hours and finally did as I asked and checked for updates. Fixed xD

Then why ask? If you want a problem with the latest drivers, give up the performance increase and roll back. If you want to keep the performance increase, then if you haven't already check for updates for Windows. If you're up to date on your updates then what games are you trying to play?

I didn't ask anything. I was making the point that the problem is most likely the drivers. And it wouldn't be giving up the performance to roll back. It would be quite the opposite if they are more stable. I'll probably roll back in the next few days. Also I'm not sure what you mean by "If you want to keep the performance increase, then if you haven't already check for updates for Windows."

And mostly Overwatch but I have also been playing Dead Island Definitive Edition, Ryse, Dishonored and a lot of Overwatch (it has the most problem out of all of the games). I have also just started using Vridge to simulate the Vive/Oculus on my cardboard using my computer so I need the extra performance.

I'm trying to figure out if you want to have a problem. My job is fixing problems, so if I'm doing it for free I like to know the person wants the help. Not trying to be rude.

Don't have Overwatch, hoping it's in the summer sale, but as it's known to drive up temps I bet that's your stability issue. I've put in 20 hrs of Dishonored in this week, weird coincidence, not one crash.

I'm pushing checking for an update in Windows because that's the most common issue. Next is more complicated. So let me know if you want this nut cracked and we'll go from there.

Why? I came here to discuss the issue and find a solution. I'm not sure how you would think otherwise.

Overwatch is on Battle.net so you won't be getting it from the summer sale. When I run it my card stays at a cool 56 degrees.

And as I said before I checked for updates right away as any good troubleshooter should.  I have auto updates and it was up to date.

As elago said that's the next step. Use DDU and then install the drivers fresh. Do a custom install so that nothing unnecessary is installed.

Did that already too... I got the same advice from the 970 owners thread.

Well you're having problems in all your games so it's more than likely hardware. Bunch of different ways to go now but I would start by pulling a dim if you run two and then switching them to make sure it's not RAM related. If that doesn't do it then move on to benchmarking to see if the problem follows you there. If it does the powersupply can be a suspect. If not then worst case try a fresh Windows install. But before you do that I'd try an older driver just to be sure. If the older driver works you have an issue with your graphics card. I'd contact the manufacturer for RMA if you're still under warranty.

If anyone asks you never saw me.
