Regarding Amd Apu A6 6310

Hey guys I'm thinking of buying a new laptop,my budget is not that much and I've found a decent one ..

Its the HP 245 G4..Its got an Amd A6-6310 Quad core processor..

I dont play games that much, i need the laptop for Programming ,Web surfing,Multitasking,Image/Video rendering and editing etc

Will the Amd A6 chip handle these tasks well??

It would be good for web browsing and programming, but rendering and video editing would take a while and isn't really what that chip was designed for.

Its a weak chip, personally I do think simple tasks is what it shines at, and program what exactly? o3o

The Amd A6 is clocked at 1.8ghz while intel is clocked at  2.16ghz..

Any help will be appreciated...

I have the G3258 clocked up to 4.2GHz, it's alright for Premiere (720p h264 timeline scrubs with minimal stutter)

I mean neither of them are going to be great at it, no matter how you slice it.

 

I'd probably lean towards the AMD based solution giving you the better overall experience.  But it's hard to say with what little info you've provided.

G3258 is around 10 times faster than that Pentium.... comparison is void.

Both are bad but the Pentium is worse. Save up for an A10/A8 at the very least.

GPU wise the A6 6310 is better, and it is better multi threaded. But going off my A8 4555M and the way it compares to the A6 APU of the same age I'd recommend going for something with an A8 and avoiding the Pentium N3540 completely. That is unless your laptop will be only used for very old games, web browsing and watching videos, then the Pentium will be a good choice.
