802.11n not working in Windows 10 =(

m0k

Intel Wifi Link 5100 AGN - worked fine on all frequencies and bands on win7

However since doing a clean reinstall of win10 it only operates on 802.11a/b/g

Any way i can force my wireless adapter to use wireless n?

my $20 usb adapter works fine on 802.11n but my internal wifi card doesnt....

Drivers have gone through countless clean/fresh reinstalls so thats a dead end

u could ask the makers to send you a special driver, because windows 10 wipes most of your drivers and keeps the ones needed by the system

Yeah, as a last resort i can spend $20 and replace it with a newer wifi card.

update: its actually not that bad on 802.11a/b/g
speedtest shows slightly slower speeds but for everyday computing it still seems fine
