how do I get rid of voicemail notification icon on my S7?

So recently I got a voicemail message now I can't get rid of the voicemail notification icon. I can atleast hide it in my lock screen but I can still see it when I expand notification in my home screen. Is there a way to get rid of this icon?

play the voicemail or delete it.

Yeah it seem like I need to set up the voicemail account first and then play the voicemail or delete it like you said. Thanks it seems to be gone now.

How are you able to get a voicemail if you don't have it set up?
