Hi, everyone. I'm a single mom. Bought my 17 year old son a computer we had built from the ground up. It died once and Intel and MSI replaced the CPU and Motherboard. We just had those parts installed, and it died again after 2 days. Power supply is tested and fine. Win 10 OS. Liquid cooled. Stock speed. Here's what happens: the next morning after a gaming session, the system turns on and boots, but the monitor shows the logo and such, then says NO SIGNAL. Last time, the no signal verbiage came up and the motherboard showed code 00, out of the blue, after working for a month straight out of the boxes. This time, there's no codes and the lights on the motherboard are green, indicating all good.

I appreciate any and all educated guesses, as my son is ill and this system is his only joy. It's awful to spend 4 grand on an 8 grand build and only get to use it for two days.

Oh. Also, I have two of these in the build:

EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti 06G-P4-4993-KR 6GB SC GAMING w/ACX 2.0+, Whisper Silent Cooling Graphics Card.

And the processor is a brand new Intel 1151 that Intel replaced when it did this the first time.

How have you tested the power supply? How have you confirmed the mobo and CPU were dead? What you described was a no POST situation, and that can be caused by many things beyond the CPU and mobo. I would first recommend that you reseat the ram and try running with only 1 gpu. Also make see the board is properly installed and that there is no extra standoffs under the board.

This ^^

I had a similar situation and was down to a dead RAM stick, system gave no indication and all lit up like nothing was wrong.

Needs money for car parts :P

I've taken it to the computer technicians I trust, that do IT for two big businesses I work for/with. For reference, its S&D IT Solutions. As you can see, I'm not whip smart about this stuff. I've not taken the system to S&D this time, because it just died Friday. So I've had nothing tested this time. I'm simply petrified I've got a $4,000 brick.

I don't believe there's any standoffs at all, btw

Ok that would be your problem. The board should be held on by standoffs, if it is flat against the back of your case it would die immediately upon posting up. Are you sure it isn't on standoffs, that would be pretty obvious as the io wouldn't fit

It will be the RAM or Mobo...

Are you sure you tested the PSU? I would have tested the PSU and RAM In another system. It's just about elimination...
