Dry ice?

First, forgive me if this is the wrong section.

 

Ok well I was just wondering if anyone has used dry ice to cool a cpu?

I might be trying it and was looking for tips.

You can but it's more fore extreme cooling. You'll need a pot for it though.

Umm I know dry ice is -78 degrees, I don't know if cpu and coldness have any problems?

It's only for extreme overclocking. It should never be used on a day to day basis.

dry ice is a solid gas, which means once it touches heat it wil evaporate

Would not recommend using dry ice unless you know what you're doing.

Go ahead, using old CPU's and overclocking on them with LN2 or dry ice is fun and gives a general feel of the situation and how everything must be done

Carbon Dioxide? Keep A/C and airflow regular in your lab and don't breath in too much of it.

I have used dry ice on my radiator with. I put the radiator with fan in pull and the dry ice on the side that had no fans and yes the temperatures did drop significantly but it was just to see how it would work and i only did it that one time.

A water-cooled mid-tier gaming PC.
