First PC Build Help

Hello everyone. On friday, when the rest of my ordered pc parts arrive, I will be doing my first pc build. That being said, I have a few questions to ask before I start on friday. Feel free to answer the only ones you like, but I would appreciate it if you can answer as many as possible. Please disregard the gpu choice in the pc part list below, I will be purchasing a gtx 1070 when I can find an aftermarket one in stock. Thank you in advance.

       1. Is a magnetic screw driver necessary, or is a normal screw driver enough?

       2. Should I test my pc outside the case first, and if so, where should I do so?

       3. What needs to be plugged in to test it?

       4. Does it matter which pci slot I use on the motherboard for the gpu and/or wifi adapter?

       5. What should I do/check if the pc does not boot up?

       6. Any other tips?

1. Normal is fine. Magnetic is just nicer

2. Yes, on you're motherboard box

3. CPU, RAM, PSU, GPU

4. Typically the top x16 slot for the GPU and any other for the wifi

5. Is the RAM seated correctly. Is the CPU seated correctly. Are the PSU cables plugged all the way in...

6. Have fun

One more for 5

Check front panel connectors are in correctly

Oh and...

6.

- Don't drop screws in the psu ;)

- Remember to turn on the psu

- Ground yourself

- Install RAM, CPU and cpu fan before installing the motherboard

- Plan out cable management. You're going to spend a lot of time on this
