WD black model # questions

mhonor

Hey guys,

Is there any difference between these two models of WD Black 1tb? Why would the retail packaging version be $15 cheaper than OEM?

more in stock? supply and demand etc. If one is marked on sale lower than it would normally be, they likely wouldnt mark both down

Yeah, they're the same drive. I guess too many people were buying the bare drive that the retail box dropped in price...

Hi there :)

There shouldn't be any difference in the drive themselves. The second version is designed for shelves and it comes with a box, manual and warranty note while the bare drive comes as it is in a ESD bag. :)

Feel free to post back if you have any other questions regarding WD Black drives :)
