Since you're doing so much editing and 3d modeling, you might want to consider something a 4930k with a GTX 780 instead of a titan.

1st build question, why would you get dominator platinums and only get the 1600mhz version.

Yeah, this. 1866 is like $15 more and gives a benefit in Haswell.

I like the way it looks and have no use for the higher end models.

First one but instead of Titan 2 R9-290x's

Titan is love.  Titan is life.

if you can fit a 4930k and a motherboard with 2-way sli support in a case that will fit it all at $1000, please do.

To be fair, having a $1,000 budget and asking to fit everything into it for what you want to do will be hard. 4930K + MB + 780 is over $1,000.

Plus iirc, the 2011 CPUs don't have iGPU. So I don't know if you can use it all unless you have a GPU.

which is why I went with the 4770k I do a lot of video editing and 3d modeling, but it's very light since I don't have professional skills or a desire to pursue more knowledge.

The Titan is more like a quadro vs. a gaming GPU, it doesn't matter how fast it is, it doesn't offer the same features as a Titan, which is why it's more useful for me.  When the R9 series goes on the market, the 290x will be $600 and the Titan may drop a hundred or two as well.

2 $1000 GPU's, and a 4770k can handle them just fine.

doing so much rendering and editing 16gb of ram might help

I do it in large quantities, but not in large files, although 4 sticks of dominator ram does look better than just 2
