980ti deal?

Go to solution Solved by GreezyJeezy,

get 1070

is this 980ti a good deal for $350 or should i spend $450 on a 1070. I feel like the small percent of FPS I would get in game isn't worth another $100 to me. I donno xD

The GTX 980Ti and GTX 1070 perform roughly the same, but the GTX 980Ti can overclock better. I'd say go for the GTX 980Ti - the GTX 1070 isn't worth the extra hundie.

The GTX 980Ti will handle both resolutions without a problem. That's coming from personal experience.

980ti and 1070 work out to get about the same FPS (depending on the exact make of the card) the only real difference is 6GB vram vs 8GB vram.make your choice based upon that. With current games, 6GB of vram will be fine for 1440p, but who knows where that will be in a year or two. if that's worth the extra investment for you, 1070. if its not, 980ti.

the 1070 is pretty similar to the 980ti

I would get the 1070 for the newer features and lower TDP, but if you're tight on money then pick up the 980ti

and if you go 1070 I would recommend waiting for the aftermarkets cards for about $400, not the $450 founders edition
