Second hand 980ti or gtx 1080??

Awkward Turtle

I've found a second hand gigabyte xtreme 980ti going for $650 AUD,  just wondering if the performance differences of a 1080 would it be worth it to get that instead even though their an insane $1200+ AUD atm.

constidering that the xtreme 980ti is the highest end air cooled version out imo

980 ti By far imo. 1080 is the latest and greatest thing, and its performance shows. But if you can get a 980 ti for almost half the price, by far that is the better option. the performance increase over the 980 ti is about 15-30% in most games at 1080-1440p. Unless your thinking about 4k gaming, 980 ti is your best choice for that price. If price is not a limit, wait for the 1080 price to stabilize and see if it comes down enough.

In that CASE, you'd probably better off with the 980ti for now.
