People play at that resolution (and stretched to 16:9 1080p) because they feel like it makes the models bigger and/or they just get a higher fps with that

I only played CSGO a couple times and just played at 1080p medium settings.

Oh and no rank of course :^)

I dont have that game yet.

but would play it at the standard HD resolution (1920x1080) when i got my GTX 1080 and playing at 144+FPS

Maybe your friends play at that resolution because they want more FPS (Frames Per Second) for more fast response times.

as i say i dont have that game yet, so im the minimum rank.

How do you stretch that tiny picture into 1080p? :o

I honestly don't know :P I have never played CSGO at that resolution.. But yeah, you can stretch it to 1080p. A lot of pro players play at 1280x1024 or whatever and stretch it.

People play at stretched because they believe that the models would be bigger by a tiny bit.

People play at that square resolution (i can't tell rn) because i believe they were used to it in cs 1.6, or because the vertical and horizontal sensitivity is the same (i'm guessing, don't hurt me).

Playing at 1050P recently, quite liking it due to a tighter pixel density, seems a bit crisper than my 1080P, 60hz, LE rank.
