AMD Graphics cards perform bad on low end CPU's?

Luke

So i'm building a budget PC for my nephew i have a Pentium G3258 and a GTX 750 Ti as well as an R9 270 and the R9 270 is a more powerful card so i was planning on using that but at 0:50 in this video the guy mentions that when using an AMD card (Presumably a lower end card like the 260X) there were "poor" performance drops when paired with a lower end CPU.

Does anyone happen to know if this is still an issue?

It greatly depends on the game we're talking about.

Well how about in general, Is it still a known issue on AMD's side?

Not really, but it depends on the game and CPU.

Considering that you have a G3258, the game genuinely is a factor here.
